Tim Pool is an American podcast host with over 800,000 followers on Twitter. He was amoung hundreds of users who commented on a recent statement of Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Deena Hinshaw. She seemed to state that people sick at home who have not taken a COVID test are counted as being a COVID case during a press conference.

The official Alberta government Twitter account responded in an attempt to debunk claims on Twitter. The response stated that all positive COVID cases are lab tested. The post did not directly address the video clip of Dr Hinshaw.


Sep 29, 2021

Dr Hinshaw further clarified her position concerning a video clip that went viral on Twitter. She claims assumptive cases applied only to the management of school outbreaks. These assumptive cases are not recorded as COVID cases.
