The vandalism of political signs has become an issue in NW Calgary in this political season.
A number of candidates in the area were contacted for comment.
“It’s always unfortunate to see acts of election sign vandalism, but for
every malicious act I have seen through an election cycle, I have
witnessed tenfold acts of generosity, kindness and respect. For anyone
thinking about damaging signs, please know that countless volunteer
hours go into putting these signs up and after they come down, they are
recycled for many multi-use purposes. I hope instead of vandalism, you
advocate for change by casting your ballot on Oct. 18th.”
